Come one, come all to the BigApps Block Party at Brooklyn's up-and-coming Industry City! At the first event of its kind, over 100 BigApps contestants will pitch their projects to contest judges and compete for their chance to win over $100,000 in cash prizes. The public will weigh in with a "People's Choice" vote that culminates with a BigApps Battleground live pitch.
Meanwhile, at our Startup Campus, major tech-industry sponsors and local tech firms will show off their next generation of products and gadgets. We'll have food, games, music, and activities for all ages and interests - stop by to see why everyone is talking about BigApps!
The BigApps Block Party – hosted at Brooklyn’s Industry City – is an all-out celebration of all things tech, with food trucks, music, games, Etsy sellers, live pitches, and more. It’s a family-friendly event that showcases the power of partnership between the City’s vibrant technology sector and the City’s vital nonprofit and civic network.
At the Block Party, BigApps teams will demo their products and compete for a chance to advance to the BigApps Finals. The top 5 “People's Choice” teams (determined via online and onsite public voting) will also go head-to-head in the BigApps Battlefield, pitching to a celebrity panel for one guaranteed spot in the Finals.

12:00PM - Block Party Kickoff!
It wouldn’t be a block party without food trucks and a live band. Join Team BigApps for food, music, refreshments, and games in the Industry City courtyard. While you’re there, don’t miss the BigApps Marketplace, and make sure to check out this year’s competition at the Tech Campus.

12:30PM – 3:30PM - Show and Tell
The showdown starts now! All contestants will use this time to show off their products to friends, family, the public, and evaluators in our Exhibition Hall. Attendees can cast votes in the "People's Choice" contest, while official BigApps Evaluators demo products and help select the Finalists (to be announced within a week after the Block Party).
3:45PM – By the People, for the People: Announcing the Top 5 Teams
Listen up, y’all! We’re revealing the Top 5 "People's Choice" teams, as chosen by you.
4:00PM - BigApps Battle
Grab a good seat to watch the Top 5 "People's Choice" teams go head-to-head on the BigApps Battlefield! Each team has 4 minutes to pitch to our judges; the winning team automatically advances to the BigApps Finals.
5:00PM - Eat, Drink, & Be Merry
Enjoy food, drinks, music, and games as the day’s competition cools off
6:00PM - The End.
